Superior sensivity and wide dynamic range

  • EvaGreen® is more sensitive and gives a wider linear detection range than SYBR® Green I.

Low PCR inhibition

  • Exhibits much less PCR inhibition than SYBR® Green I via a smart "release-on-demand" DNA-binding technology.

Compatible with Fast PCR protocol

  • Minimal interference to PCR makes it possible to significantly shorten the chain extension time.

Spectrally similar to SYBR® Green I

  • Compatible with all major brand qPCR instruments.

TaqMan® assay compatible

  • Suitable for TaqMan® assay as well, enabling multidetections by both EvaGreen® dye and oligo probes, followed by melt curve analysis.

Extremely stable

  • Simply indestructible under most biochemical conditions. Can be stored at room temperature and be subject to repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Compatible with multiplex PCR

  • No dye migration from amplicon to amplicon when used at the recommended concentration.

Nonmutagenic and noncytotoxic

Excellent for HRM application

  • The dye selectively binds to dsDNA via a novel “release on- demand” mechanism that ensures low PCR inhibition and permits high-resolution melt curve analysis (HRM) application at below saturation dye concentration.

Comparison among EvaGreen® mastermix and SYBR® Green mastermixes of two leading companies (company A and company Q). Reactions were carried out using an ABI 7900 cycler. The insert is an enlarged view of the area near the baseline for better viewing the curve patterns of the much weaker signals of the two SYBR®-based mastermix.
